1959
(Skytop Students - January 6, 1959)

Extensive research to reconstruct the scene at Skytop on the morning of the tragic fire is underway by
ARLEN TRAPP. Listed here is important historical data, including names of airmen in AFIT Classes
and other personnel information including those who died or were injured in the Fire Bldg. M-7.

ARLEN TRAPP has spent many hours, made over a hundred phone calls, and did extensive research
of almost every newspaper article written about the fire. His comprehensive summary of events on that
cold January morning brings back vivid memories of those of us who were at Syracuse University and
even after more than 50 years, some of us remember the fire as if it happened yesterday.

Arlen has organized this information into three important compendiums:

I. The Human Toll -- Casualties, Survivors, Next-of-Kin
II. Probable Cause and Proposed Remedies
III. Legal Action -- Court Settlements/Resolution

This significant project has never before been presented in one location - here on our Website!
